Some interesting definitions [Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913 and 1828 editions)]:

A name or appellation which is added to, or over and above, the baptismal or Christian name

- So a surname, which was added to the Christian name (through the birth certificate/record), may be unknowingly removing someone from God’s covenant and blessing?

A public transaction done for private profit; something performed ostensibly (appearing) as a part of official duty, but really for private gain; a corrupt official business.

- So a job may be defined as a corrupt criminal activity?

Excess of liberty; freedom abused, or used in contempt of law or decorum; disregard of law or propriety.

- A licence gives you permission to abuse and disregard the law?

These common words, along with their uncommon meanings, may be the reason why we are generally treated as criminals and enemies of the state. Maybe we need to wise up and learn how to successfully operate under ecclesiastical and/or common law.
