The Dangers of MILK !!

Of all the mammals, humans’ milk has the lowest protein content and the lowest ratio of casein to whey. Dairy products contribute to cholesterol. Both the fat and the protein in milk are extremely highly associated with an increase in cholesterol in the body. Vegans have a better cardiovascular status than vegetarians who consumed dairy products. Iron deficiency is more likely to occur on a dairy rich diet. Insulin dependent diabetes (Type I) is linked to dairy products. A Harvard study found that when dairy products consumption exceeds the enzymes’ capacity to break down galactose, there is a build up of galactose in the blood, which may affect a woman’s ovaries, linking to Ovarian cancer. Milk is one of the most common food allergies. Like other products from animals, breast secretions contain frequent contaminants, from pesticides to drugs. North American Whites and White Europeans are generally not lactose intolerant.  he break down of lactose results in two components, these been glucose and galactose. Unfortunately after a human has weened, the enzyme Beta-Galactosidase is not produced in the human body. In effect galactose is not broken down but stored in the skin and the eyes. Galactose deposits in eye over time results in damage of the lens of the eye, leading to cataracts. Casein is a very hard protein to digest, requiring a very specialised enzyme.

In infants, the most important development is the brain and nervous system. Casein is only useful for muscular and skeletal development, not brain. The protein in cow’s milk is geared for their own species and is not fit for human consumption. Drinking cow’s milk may weaken immune function in children and lead to problems with recurring infections. Breast feeding provides correct antibodies, correct white blood cells and lactoferrin which blacks E.Coli bacteria growth.

Osteoporosis is caused by a number of things, one of the most correlated being too much dietary dairy protein. Iowa (a dairy state) has a higher rates than the national average for human leukemias in the US. The top dairy consuming countries in the world have the highest rate of breast cancer, prostate cancer and osteoporosis; these been Norway and Switzerland. Just 4 glasses of milk a week will increase the probability of having prostate cancer in Men by 2.5 times. Many diseases such as tuberculosis, brucellosis, diphtheria, scarlet fever, Q-fever and gastro-enteritis are transmissible by milk products. Dairy products are associated with other symptoms; Chronic fatigue, hyperactivity, respiratory difficulties, early atherosclerosis, acne, rheumatoid arthritis. Only 25% of the calcium in cow’s milk is absorbed by the body. Cheese for example requires up to 8– 12 hours digestion time in the stomach at a very low pH of 1, which is extremely acidic. This increase in acid load requires the need for the body to create calcium carbonate to neutralise this acid. This calcium carbonate actually is drawn from your bones. So dairy actually depletes calcium from your bones. Milk and dairy products are not fit for human consumption especially infants.
